When you decide to look for jobs in UAE you have more than just a job to think about.  You will be moving to another country altogether if you are successful in your search, so you have to think about where you are going to live too.

Some companies providing jobs in UAE have schemes in place that provide you with housing as well as a position within their company.  This is by far the easiest route to finding everything you need, since you will not have to do a property search as well as a job search.

In many instances companies provide housing complexes that all their expat workers stay in.  Sometimes these are offered free of charge, which obviously means you will be able to save more of your income for other things.  You will also be close to other people from abroad who are getting used to jobs in UAE and living in another country as well, so you can share your experiences.

One thing you do need to bear in mind if you are going to find your own property is that renting often requires several months to be paid for in one go before you move in.  Some landlords require a year in advance.  If you are working on a shorter contract it may be better to find alternative accommodation so you don’t have to pay for more than you need.  Always check the market carefully to see whether you have the best housing for your needs.

Considering how quickly job opportunities in the United Arab Emirates have been growing in recent years, jobs in the UAE have never been more accessible than they are today. There are literally thousands of jobs in a wide variety of areas as the entire country continues to experience massive growth, and the opportunities are fairly lucrative for foreigners considering there are no taxes and the bonus packages offered at the end of your contract can be significant if your job in the UAE has lasted for several years or more. It is vitally important that you have all of your documentation in order before accepting any job in the UAE. Not only will you need to obtain a residency visa for UAE, but it also allows you to apply for sponsorship if you happen to have a spouse or any children that will be along for the duration of the contract.

While it is true that the documentation required for jobs in the UAE is fairly excessive, it is well worth it. Keep in mind that you need a valid passport to work any job in the Emirates, and if you have a spouse or children who will be coming along you will need to provide a marriage certificate as well as birth certificates. Once you arrive in the country with your required documents, the Department of Immigration will process your residency visa, and check the original documents for your family members to get them processed as well.

Work visas are usually arranged by the employer upon a firm offer of employment.  The employer will act as sponsor for the employee and is responsible for their worker during their time in UAE.  The fees are paid by the employer and the work visa is usually valid for either one or two years.  Once the work visa has been issued it doubles as the residence visa.

The worker must have a passport which has at least six months left to run, birth certificates and medical certificate.  Medical examinations before and after you enter the country are essential to show you are in good health and free from AIDS/HIV and other communicable diseases.

Once you are resident in the country, identification documents such as the national identity card and relevant visas must be carried at all times.  Employers will usually retain passports as they are subject to spot checks by the immigration service to control the number of illegal workers in the country.

Those who have any visible connection with Israel will be denied entry to the country.
